What happened to Mealime?
Mealime closed on October 21, 2026. Albertsons Companies, which bought Mealime in 2021, is folding its recipes and meal planning into Meals Hub, a free feature inside Albertsons' grocery store apps (like Safeway and Albertsons). If you shop there, Meals Hub may be all you need. If you cook from your own recipes or track what you eat, you'll probably want a dedicated planner.
Why people switch to Peck & Plate
- Your recipes, not a fixed menu. Paste a link from almost any recipe site, or snap a photo of a cookbook page or a screenshot.
- A real calendar. See breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the whole month, and repeat a meal on any days you choose.
- Macros and fiber, if you want them. Daily protein, carbs, fat and fiber totals, or switch them off.
- One shopping list sorted by aisle for the day, week or month, scaled to the number of people you cook for. You can add your own items too.
- Family extras. Upload the school lunch menu and it fills in the month, and share meals to Google Calendar, Skylight or Hearth.
Switch in three steps
- Save the recipes you love. Screenshot any Mealime recipes you want to keep, and bookmark ones that live on websites.
- Import them. In Peck & Plate, use Import → From a link for web recipes and From a photo for screenshots. Check the ingredients and save.
- Plan your week. Drop meals onto the calendar, tick the days to repeat, and open your shopping list.

What's the best Mealime alternative if I want to use my own recipes?
